Side effects of smoking cigarettes

Cigarette smoking is one of the biggest causes of death in the world today. Three out of ten people die from smoking.  Some people start smoking just for fun, but gradually they become addicted. Countless people all over the world, whether men or women, seem to be addicted to this deadly habit.

According to the World Health Organization, "The Tobacco epidemic is one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever faced".

Cigarettes are poison

The cigarette is the name of the poison which contains tobacco. This tobacco contains high levels of nicotine, and remember, this is the nicotine that keeps us in the habit. Nicotine is highly addictive, raises brain levels of dopamine, and produces withdrawal symptoms on discontinuation.

According to research, burning a cigarette release about 4,000 different types of chemicals, of which you will be surprised that there are 400 toxins and about 40 carcinogens.

Smokers make life difficult for oneself as well as for others. A person sitting next to a smoker suffers as much harm as a smoker. Remember that cigarettes can damage all parts of the body, especially the heart and lungs.

  • Angina pectoris
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Lung cancer

  • Oesophageal cancer
  • Bladder cancer
  • Kidney  cancer
  • Infertility
  • Impotence
  • Earlier menopause

  • Birth defects

Smoking has also been associated with increased risks of leukaemia, prostate cancer and breast cancer among postmenopausal women who are slow acetylators of N-acetyltransferase-2 enzymes, of osteoporosis, and of Alzheimer disease.

We must remember that smoking is an unhealthy activity.  The chemicals found in cigarettes enter our bloodstream from the lungs and thus begin to thicken the blood first, this causes a lack of oxygen in the blood. Which increases the pressure on the heart. Due to which smokers complain of fatigue, weakness and memory are also affected.

As soon as the smokers' pink lungs turn black, same the lips begin to turn black. They often start to feel a burden on the chest. Teeth start to deteriorate. Olfaction and taste are impaired in smokers, and facial wrinkles are increased. Heavy smokers have a 3.5 greater risk of age-related macular degeneration.

Smoking cigarette remains the most important cause of preventable morbidity and early mortality. The children of smokers have lower birth weight.

One study found that smokers die 6-10 years earlier than non- smokers. They have double the risk of fatal heart disease.20 times the risk of lungs cancer, and several times the risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, oesophagus, pancreas, kidney and bladder.

In the world, over 85% of cases the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) occur among current or former smokers.

You need a good power  to avoid smoking cigarette

Although cigarette smoking constitutes the most serious common medical problem, almost 45% of smokers attempt to quit every year, but only 5% are successful. People who have a face to quit smoking should exercise physically as well as the lungs.

Exercise is very easy. Get up early in the morning, take long deep breaths in the open air, inhale oxygen from the nose and exhale through the mouth. This process lasts for at least five minutes. It will also start to heal the damaged lungs.

There will be no demand for cigarettes. If you want to avoid cancer and heart disease, you have to quit smoking. Use as much water as possible to get rid of the toxic substances from cigarettes.

Do you people agree with me that quitting smoking is not an impossible task?
